I’ve photographed seniors all over Oklahoma City. After twelve years in business, the one question I hear more than anything is this: “Missy, where should we take my senior pictures?”
Fair question. Your location really does set the tone for everything. It shapes the look, the feel, and how your photos come across before you even step in front of the camera.
I actually have a great blog article on ALL my favorite OKC photo locations.
So today I am pulling back the curtain on five of my go-to Oklahoma City senior photo locations. These are the spots I come back to again and again because they consistently deliver photos seniors actually love.
Let’s get into it.
Your location isn’t just a backdrop. It plays a huge role in how your photos feel.
Oklahoma City has a lot to offer. You’ve got skyline views, gardens, modern architecture, and parks that can look both natural and urban depending on where you stand. The key is choosing a place that fits you.
Quick tip: I include a second location with every senior session. It gives you more variety without overcomplicating things, and most seniors end up loving the mix.
Scissortail Park is easily one of the most requested locations, and it makes sense. It gives you a little bit of everything in one place.
You’ve got tall grass, water features, and open space. Then just steps away, you have clean lines, modern structures, and skyline views. It’s easy to move around and get completely different looks without driving across town.
Another bonus is how close it is to downtown. We can start in the park and then head into the city for a second location without losing time.
Best for: Seniors who want both natural and urban photos without having to choose one or the other.

Leadership Square is one of those places that photographs better than you expect.
The mirrored building creates reflections that add depth and interest without needing much else. It works especially well if you’re going for a more dressed-up look.
I recently had a senior show up in a black suit, and this location completely matched that energy. The combination of the structure, the light, and the reflections made everything feel more refined without trying too hard.
Best for: Dressy outfits, clean lines, and a more polished look.

Rooftops in downtown OKC give you that wide-open skyline without a lot of distractions.
One of my favorite sessions here was with a senior who played saxophone. Instead of just posing, I had him actually play. It felt more natural, and the photos reflected that.
At one point, a dog nearby started howling along with him. It was so funny and we were all laughing so hard.
Best for: Seniors who want a clean, bold city backdrop and works well with urban/casual clothing.

The Farmer’s Market area has a completely different look from the rest of downtown.
There’s a lot of brick, older architecture, and rustic areas…. this area gives so much variety with pretty minimal walking. I also love it for seniors that want to photograph your cars or trucks.
Best for: Seniors who like a more classic or slightly vintage look with strong textures.

If you’re drawn to greenery and flowers, Will Rogers Gardens is hard to beat.
It’s well-kept, full of variety, and has great light throughout the day. In spring and summer, everything is in bloom and in the fall the color are 10/10.
Best for: Seniors who want a softer, more natural look with plenty of greenery.
You don’t have to overthink this, but it helps to have a general direction.
Ask yourself:
Most seniors end up choosing two locations so they can get a mix. Something like Scissortail Park paired with a rooftop, or Will Rogers Gardens paired with the Farmer’s Market.
If you’re unsure, that’s part of what I help with. We’ll talk through it and figure out what makes the most sense for you.
Oklahoma City has plenty of great options for senior photos. The goal is finding the one that fits your style and makes you feel comfortable.
