Picture this: adult kids flying in from across the country. Spouses in tow. Little ones running around grandma and grandpa’s home in Oklahoma City. Everyone together, finally, under one roof.
That is a moment worth stopping time for.
Multigenerational family sessions are some of my absolute favorites. There is something so incredibly special about photographing three generations together. The grandparents watching their grandchildren play. The cousins meeting up like old friends. The parents soaking it all in.
These are the photos that end up on walls for decades.

I get it. Coordinating schedules across cities, states, and time zones feels like planning a small wedding.
But here is the truth: the logistics are very manageable with the right support. And that is exactly what I am here for.
One of my favorite things to do for extended family sessions is to step in as the middleman. If coordinating a date feels intimidating, let me assist! Families just pass along email addresses and I handle the scheduling. No group text chaos. No one waiting on someone else to reply.
I also offer:
Getting everyone dressed and looking cohesive? I have got you covered. The styling service works for every member of the family, from grandma to the tiniest grandchild.
And during the session itself, I plan the order of photos carefully. Every family unit walks away with beautiful images of just their crew, plus the full extended family together. No one gets left out.

Extended family sessions often happen around reunions, holidays, or visits that only come around once in a while. That makes them even more meaningful.
When adult children who live across the country gather at their parents’ home, that is not just a family photo. That is a milestone.
We talk a lot about capturing kids before they grow up too fast. But grandparents deserve to be in the frame too.
I grew up surrounded by old family photos in my grandparents’ home. Decades-old portraits of people I love. I still look at them. They spark the best conversations about family history, funny memories, and the people who shaped us.
Your grandchildren will do the same thing someday.
Getting photos with your extended family is truly a gift. It is an heirloom that will be treasured for years and years to come.
This is not just a nice-to-have. It is the kind of thing families wish they had done sooner.

A few things that will make you feel more confident saying yes:
The session is designed to feel easy. That is the whole point.

Time moves fast. Kids grow up. Grandparents get older. The window for these moments is real.
If your family is gathering soon, or if you have been thinking about making this happen, now is the time. You will not regret it. I promise you that.
The photos from sessions like these do not just sit in a folder on someone’s phone. They get printed. They get framed. They get passed down.
And someday, your grandchildren will look at them and feel exactly what you feel when you look at those old photos from your own childhood.
I would love to help your family pull this together. Whether you are local to Oklahoma City or flying everyone in from across the country, I am here to make the whole experience as easy and enjoyable as possible.
Reach out and let’s start the conversation. I can help with everything from scheduling to styling to finding the perfect location in OKC or the surrounding suburbs.
Because happy looks good on you. And it looks even better with your whole family in the frame.
