There are things about your child right now that will quietly disappear.
Not in dramatic ways.
Just slowly.
The way your toddler holds her beloved lovey. The favorite book that you have to read every night. That first big smile without braces. The expensive mini skirt your teen just HAD to have and wears as often as possible.
These things matter. But they do not necessarily belong in your fall family portraits.
And that is exactly why Personality Portraits exist.

Personality Portraits are short, focused sessions designed to capture who your child is right now.
Not posed.
Not forced.
Not styled for the whole family.
Just them.
Each session is eight minutes long. One child per time slot. Five images included, with the option to upgrade to the full gallery.
It is simple on purpose.
Because kids are honest in short windows. Eight minutes keeps it fun, natural, and energetic.
And in those eight minutes, something really special happens.

This sweet little guy showed up with his favorite golf ball.
Not a favorite stuffed animal or well loved toy.
Just a favorite golf ball! He carries it everywhere. How cute is that?
Now, would you want a single golf ball in your coordinated fall family photos at Will Rogers Park? Probably not.
But would you want to remember that stage forever?
Absolutely.
That is the difference between a family portrait and a Personality Portrait.
Family photos are about your family as a unit. Personality Portraits are about who your child is now.

Another session was with a girl who loves theater. She brought her playbills. Every single one.
So many countless hours of late night theater rehearsals summed up in those playbills!
But that was not all.
She also runs her own jewelry and lip gloss line. A real business. She designed the labels herself. She markets it. She sells it (check out Kiddoodles in Norman!)
So we photographed that too.
She walked away with portraits that celebrated her creativity. And marketing images she can actually use for her business.

These sessions are not limited to one type of kid.
They are flexible because childhood is not one-size-fits-all.
A toddler might bring a stuffed animal.
A third grader might bring Pokémon cards or a soccer ball.
A middle schooler might bring a stack of books.
A high schooler might bring a guitar, a dance costume or just need a headshot for that first internship.
If it is part of their life right now, it belongs in their photos.
Eight minutes sounds short. That is intentional.
Eight minutes keeps it playful.
Quick direction.
Natural expressions.
No burnout.
We move fast. We laugh. We capture what feels real.
Parents are always surprised at how much we get in that small window.

Simple. Easy. Efficient.
Oklahoma City families are busy. Between soccer, theater rehearsals, school events, and running small businesses out of bedrooms, life moves fast.
These portraits freeze a very specific chapter.
The golf ball stage.
The playbill stage.
The entrepreneur stage.
The stage that probably will not last another year.
Family portraits tell your family story.
Personality Portraits tell your child’s individual story.
Both matter.
They just serve different purposes.
