There’s just something about outdoor dining in OKC – give me an Oklahoma sky, yummy meal and a patio full of string lights and suddenly everything feels a little more magical. As a photographer, I spend a lot of time driving between sessions, scouting locations, and chasing great light—which means I’ve also become a bit of a connoisseur of the city’s best patios.
Whether I’m winding down after photographing a senior session at Scissortail Park or grabbing tacos with my son post-soccer, I love dining al fresco! I also love to recommend great restaurants to my families for a post photo session dinner.

☀️ Spark (Scissortail Park)
Burgers, custard, and a view of the skyline? Yes, please. The bright umbrellas and walkability to Scissortail Park make this one a go-to after Scissortail photo sessions. P.S. I highly recommend their Buddha bowl, while my kids swear on their chicken nuggets.
🍕 Hall’s Pizza Kitchen
Their rooftop patio is one of my favorites in Midtown. Great for sunset hangs, first dates, or grabbing a slice with the kids. Bonus: Their pizza + service is some of the best in town.
🎶 The Jones Assembly
Live music, incredible cocktails, and a spacious industrial-chic patio. Nothing beats the Jones vibes.
🌵 The Powerhouse
A bit off the beaten path in the Farmers Market District, The Powerhouse patio is rustic, cozy, and full of charm. I admit that I have not eaten there for dinner, but it’s a fantastic place for an evening cocktail and chat with friends.
🍽 Social Capital
Right by Scissortail Park and the convention center, this rooftop patio is all about skyline views and people-watching. Counter service ordering for both food and drinks makes Social Capital a great recommendation if you have a large group
🍻 The Parlor
Perfect for groups (and picky eaters), this collective-style dining space has an upstairs patio that feels like an urban hideaway.
🌮 Taco Nation
Hidden gem alert! Taco Nation’s outdoor area is casual, quirky, and great for families. Located right in the Wheeler District, their patio features a fenced in turf play area with a playground.
🥩 Charleston’s (Bricktown)
Charleston’s is a go-to classic. The covered patio is peaceful as it is right along the Bricktown Canal. The Spinach dip is a must!
🌵 Barrios
This Midtown gem has a lovely patio with umbrellas, heaters, string lights and shaded trees. The avocado margarita is a must!

🍸 Frida Southwest
Tucked in the Paseo, Frida’s patio is a vibe. Everything is tasty and the service is always spot on.
🌮 OSO Paseo
Just down the block, OSO is bold, fun, and has some of the best tacos around. Their whitewashed patio with pops of color makes you feel like you are dining al fresco in Spain.

🌊 Redrock Canyon Grill (Lake Hefner)
This is one of the most scenic patios in OKC—sunsets over the lake, sailboats in the background, and fire pits to cozy up around. It’s a classic for a reason.
🍷 Riserva
If you’re looking for wine flights and a polished experience, Riserva in the Chisolm Creek area has a sleek patio overlooking the water fountain – perfect for date night or happy hour with your girls. Pair a glass of wine (or their yummy spiced espresso martini) with tapas, and you have a lovely evening!
