Outfit Variety: The Perfect Mix
When it comes to senior photos, variety is key! I love creating a session that captures all the different sides of your personality, style and interests. To make the most of our time together, here’s a guide on how many outfits and locations to plan for a senior session that feels fun, diverse, and totally you! And don’t worry – we will discuss all of this together when you book your Oklahoma City or Dallas senior session me.
To keep things interesting and make sure we capture a range of looks, I recommend planning for 3 different outfits. This typically includes:
- 1-2 Dressy Outfits: Think of these as your more polished looks. Maybe a chic dress or a stylish suit – something that represents a slightly more elevated version of your everyday style.
- 1 Casual Outfit: This is your chance to relax, have fun, and show off your true self. Whether it’s your favorite jeans and a cozy sweater or a trendy top and sneakers, this outfit will reflect your day-to-day vibe.
- 1 Specific Outfit: This could be something that speaks to a special part of your life. A cap and gown for graduation, clothing representing your future college, or even a sports uniform or dance costume – anything that tells your story and showcases your passions.
If you have a fourth outfit in mind, we can make it work! Just keep in mind that quick changes are key to maximizing our time and capturing more variety.
Choosing the Right Locations: Versatility is Key
I typically select 1-2 locations for your session, and I choose them carefully for their versatility. These spots are chosen with intention – they offer multiple backgrounds and settings, so we can capture a diverse range of photos without spending too much time moving around. You just email or text me a location type – nature, urban, architectural, etc and I will give you lots of suggestions of locations that I know will photograph well.
