How Many Outfit Changes Should My Senior Have?

Read the post

Ok, first off. GREAT question.

As a parent or guardian of a high school senior, you want their senior photos to be a reflection of who they are at this pivotal moment in their lives. One question that often arises is: how many outfit changes should they have for their photoshoot? Let’s explore this topic to help you make the best decision for your senior’s memorable session.

The Magic Number: Three Outfit Changes

After ten years of experience in capturing high school seniors’ milestones, I’ve found that three outfit changes tend to be the sweet spot for a well-rounded photoshoot. Here’s why:

1. Dressier Option:

Including a dressier outfit allows your senior to showcase their elegance and sophistication. Whether it’s a formal gown or a sharp suit and tie, this ensemble captures the essence of this momentous occasion. I LOVE to get a professional headshot during when seniors are in a suit or dress/blouse!!! How awesome for them to start their adult lives with a professional headshot just ready for Linkedin??

2. Casual Option:

A casual outfit brings out the relaxed and natural side of your senior. Think of their favorite jeans and a cozy sweater or a chic yet effortless dress. This look exudes comfort and authenticity.

3. Personalized Touch:

The third outfit should reflect your senior’s personality and interests. Whether it’s a sports jersey, musical instrument, or hobby-related attire, this choice adds a personal touch and makes the photoshoot uniquely theirs. It’s a chance to celebrate their individuality and passions. OR lots of seniors love to wear their cap and gown!

Exploring Alternatives:

While three outfit changes are ideal, I understand that every senior’s preferences differ. Here are some alternatives to consider:

Four Outfit Changes: While feasible, having four outfit changes may limit the time available for each look. However, if your senior has specific ensembles they can’t do without, I can certainly accommodate this request with careful planning.

Two Outfit Changes: Two outfit changes can still yield stunning results. Focus on a balance between dressy and casual, ensuring each outfit represents different facets of your senior’s personality.
